Who are we?

Okeechobee Community Theatre, Inc. was founded in 1979 by Ron Hayes and Jacque Hayes. We are a nonprofit community theatre organization made up of dedicated local adults and young people who donate their time and talents to bring live, Broadway-style musicals, comedies, and dramas to audiences throughout South Central Florida at an affordable price.

From our Board of Directors and leadership team to performers, directors, technicians, ushers, and concession staff, our productions are entirely volunteer-powered and focused on providing quality family entertainment for the community.

All performances are presented in the historic Okeechobee Auditorium in downtown Okeechobee, located one block west of Golden Corral. This intimate 220-seat venue keeps audiences close to the action on stage while creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
