Who are we?

Okeechobee Community Theatre, Inc. was founded in 1979 by Ron Hayes and Jacque Hayes. We are an all-volunteer nonprofit organization comprised of local adults and young people who generously donate their time and talents to present live, Broadway-style musicals, comedies, and dramas for audiences throughout South Central Florida at a reasonable price. From our Board of Directors and leadership team to performers, directors, technicians, ushers, and concession staff, every person involved with Okeechobee Community Theatre is a volunteer dedicated to bringing quality family entertainment to our community.

We specialize in productions that are suitable for the entire family. All performances are presented in the historic Okeechobee Auditorium in downtown Okeechobee, located one block west of Golden Corral. This intimate 220-seat venue keeps audiences close to the action on stage and provides a warm, cozy atmosphere.
